What to highlight in your resume
Clarify whether you worked by phone, email, chat, in person or across several channels. Mention relevant systems such as CRM, ticketing or order-management tools only when you have actually used them. If you know your response time, case volume, satisfaction score or escalation rate, include the number together with the period or team context.
Skills worth including
- Phone, email and chat support
- CRM and ticket management
- Complaint handling and escalation
- Order and account support
Keep only skills you can explain with a real example from work, training or a project.
Professional summary example
Customer service specialist with 4 years of experience supporting retail and e-commerce customers by email, phone and live chat. Comfortable managing cases in CRM systems, resolving delivery and account issues and escalating complex requests when needed.
Use this as a structure, not as text to copy unchanged. Replace the role, experience, tools and goal with your own information.
Quick start
Start with a Customer Service base
We will add role-specific skill suggestions and keep any CV data you already entered. Nothing is invented about your employers, dates or experience.
You review every suggestion before sending the resume.
Experience bullet examples
- Handled customer requests across email, phone and live chat and documented outcomes in the CRM.
- Resolved order, delivery and account issues while following refund and escalation procedures.
- Coordinated with logistics and billing teams when cases required action outside customer support.
If this is your first job
Use experience from retail, hospitality, volunteering or school projects where you answered questions, solved problems or organised information for other people. Show the situation and responsibility rather than simply calling yourself customer-focused.
What to avoid
Avoid claiming perfect customer satisfaction or exceptional performance without evidence. Concrete responsibilities are more credible than unsupported statements such as “always exceeded expectations”.
Check your resume before sending it
- Match the vacancy. Put the most relevant real experience near the top.
- Check dates and contact details. Make sure the employer can reach you and your timeline is consistent.
- Keep claims defensible. Remove numbers, skills or responsibilities you could not explain in an interview.
- Check the PDF text. Copy text from the exported PDF into a plain editor to confirm it remains readable.
- Read it on mobile. Look for broken lines, awkward page breaks and sections that are hard to scan.
Turn it into your own resume
Start with your real experience, then tailor the wording to the job you want. You can build and export the resume in English directly in the CV builder.
